My Story
The pursuit of
perfection that
changed everything.
In high school, my desire to avoid all "evil" food and look "modelesque" led me toward a disordered relationship with food and my body. I spent years living with no energy and fearing food — what was supposed to be nourishment had become something I was terrified of.
That experience led me on an emotional, physical, and mental journey toward health, wellness, and — eventually — food freedom. It wasn't linear. It wasn't pretty. But it was the most important journey I've ever taken.
If you're anything like me, the desire to achieve perfection can haunt you like a dark shadow. That's why "perfectly imperfect" has become a life motto. As a recovering perfectionist, I'm striving to live with more grace — for others, and especially for myself.
