This Book Could Change Your Life

Have you ever read or watched something where in that moment of your life it totally shook your whole self? I feel like this has happened to me numerous times, but never to the extent that this book ripped my heart and soul and changed the trajectory of my life.

This book is Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist. I read this book over a year ago and I continually return to its rich passages of conviction and grace. The heart of this novel has made me question my true identity and greatly influenced me to leave a safe job in order to pursue my passions.

To passionately live the life I’ve always dreamed of living.

Shauna feels like a dear friend to me (even though I’ve never met this amazing woman) who gently and courageously helps me remember who I am and who I want to be.

Talk about a powerful book, right?

As I’ve been reflecting on this profound novel I couldn’t fit all of my thoughts in one post. Because of this reality, I am going to do a “mini-series,” as it were, on Shauna’s book. You’ll be receiving a new tidbit of wisdom from Shauna, and myself, every week.

Feel free to grab her book in the meantime. As I said, it is truly amazing!
